Book chapters

You’ve been invited to submit a chapter for a contributed volume—congratulations! The editor of the volume has an overarching plan, and she envisions that your chapter will make a specific and substantive contribution to the content and meet the format and length requirements of the volume.

I have edited numerous contributed volumes, and I have contributed chapters to volumes edited by others. Inevitably, you will have more to say than will fit into your chapter. I will take the time to understand your work and the goals of the editor, help you select the most relevant content, and package it in a way that makes you shine and contributes to the overall message of the volume.

“She has the ability to work with different style formats and help shape contributor work to fit into required publication parameters.”
James E. Groccia, Auburn University; Co-Editor (numerous volumes)

“Her suggested edits truly made my manuscript simpler, cleaner, and more effective in the communication of its message.”
Virginia S. Lee, Former President, POD Network in Higher Education; Contributor, To Improve the Academy
